Indianapolis wins again, looks toward Denver

In a game that turned out to be a good one, the Colts win again, streching their win streak out to 8 in a row and 3-0 on the season. The AFC South has proved to be a challenge for the Colts, a challenge which they have looked to overcome, yet to play Jacksonville.

This week, the Colts focus toward the west as they head to Denver to take on the Broncos.

Key Matchup: I think it's worth watching for. The Colts receivers vs. the Broncos secondary. Marvin Harrison lining up against Champ Bailey and Reggie Wayne lining up against newly accquired Dre Bly. And, as you can remember, there is no love loss between Dallas Clark and John Lynch.

I think the Broncos will try to do what they always do, smash the Colts receivers in the mouth before they have a change to get in rhythm. For all of you fantasy owners that have Joesph Addai, expect to see a healthy dose of him. Peyton will be looking to have success with the play action pass, hoping to catch the Broncos being too aggressive. What better way to set up Play Action than to pound the ball with Addai.

Don't expect the Colts defensive unit to make quite the stand that they did in week one against the Saints. The Denver running game has been spectacular since the days of Terrel Davis, and not much has changed. Down hill running, we'll see a lot of that. Be ready to see heads roll, though. Expect Bob Sanders to "rock some domes".

Prediction: The Colts in a close one, 21-17.

Bob Sanders named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Colts satefty Bob Sanders compiled 11 tackles (7 solo) and 2.5 sacks in last weeks game vs. the Titans. These stats earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

These 2.5 sacks against Titans second year quarterback Vince Young were the first of Sanders career.

This is the 29th time including the playoffs that the Colts have had one player named AFC Player of the Week (Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams). Sanders becomes the fourth defensive player since Tony Dungy's arrival in Indianapolis. DE Dwighty Freeney, has been named three times, Robert Mathis and Gary Brackett have been named once each.

This Sunday...

vs.

This Sunday, the Colts face off in a division challenge against the Houston Texans. For the first time in team history, the Houston Texans have won four consecutive games dating back to last year.

"Everybody was writing them off," said Colts President Bill Polian. The fact is, the Texans are undefeated this season and are playing well. New quarterback Matt Schaub has been sacked only twice this season; old quarterback David Carr was sacked 249 times in five seasons.

This week is similar to last week for the Colts. They will go on the road for the second week in a row to take on an undefeated division opponent.

Injury Report: The only injuries reported from the Colts are those players that are on Injured Reserve. DT Anthony "Booger" MacFarland, TE Mike Seidman, and DB Antonio Smith are all out for Sunday.

Key possible injury for the Texans is Pro Bowl WR Andre Johnson. Johnson sprained his knee in the Texans' win over the Panthers.
